TinyPowerTM A/D Flash MCU with LCD & EEPROM

External Interrupt

TheexternalinterruptiscontrolledbysignaltransitionsontheINTnpins.Anexternalinterrupt

requestwilltakeplacewhentheexternalinterruptrequestflag,INTnF,isset,whichwilloccur

whenatransition,whosetypeischosenbytheedgeselectbits,appearsontheexternalinterrupt

pin.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoitsrespectiveinterruptvectoraddress,theglobalinterrupt

enablebit,EMI,andrespectiveexternalinterruptenablebit,INTnE,mustfirstbeset.Additionally

thecorrectinterruptedgetypemustbeselectedusingtheINTEGregistertoenabletheexternal

interruptfunctionandtochoosethetriggeredgetype.Astheexternalinterruptpinispin-shared

withI/Opin,itcanonlybeconfiguredasexternalinterruptpiniftheexternalinterruptenablebitin

thecorrespondinginterruptregisterhasbeenset.Thepinmustalsobesetupasaninputbysetting

thecorrespondingbitintheportcontrolregister.Whentheinterruptisenabled,thestackisnotfull

andthecorrecttransitiontypeappearsontheexternalinterruptpin,asubroutinecalltotheexternal

interruptvectorwilltakeplace.Whentheinterruptisserviced,theexternalinterruptrequestflag,

INTnF,willbeautomaticallyresetandtheEMIbitwillbeautomaticallyclearedtodisableother

interrupts.Notethatanypull-highresistorselectionsontheexternalinterruptpinwillremainvalid

evenifthepinisusedasanexternalinterruptinput.

TheINTEGregisterisusedtoselectthetypeofactiveedgethatwilltriggertheexternalinterrupt.

Achoiceofeitherrisingorfallingorbothedgetypescanbechosentotriggeranexternalinterrupt.

NotethattheINTEGregistercanalsobeusedtodisabletheexternalinterruptfunction.

Multi-function Interrupt

WithinthesedevicesthereareuptofourMulti-functioninterrupts.Unliketheotherindependent

interrupts,theseinterruptshavenoindependentsource,butratherareformedfromotherexisting

interruptsources,namelytheTMInterrupts,LVDinterrupt,EEPROMinterruptandTimeBase

interrupt.

AMulti-functioninterruptrequestwilltakeplacetheMulti-functioninterruptrequestflag,MFnF

isset.TheMulti-functioninterruptflagwillbesetwhenanyofitsincludedfunctionsgeneratean

interruptrequestflag.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoitsrespectiveinterruptvectoraddress,

whentheMulti-functioninterruptisenabledandthestackisnotfull,andeitheroneoftheinterrupts

containedwithineachofMulti-functioninterruptoccurs,asubroutinecalltotheMulti-function

interruptvectorwilltakeplace.Whentheinterruptisserviced,therelatedMulti-Functionrequest

flag,MFnF,willbeautomaticallyresetandtheEMIbitwillbeautomaticallyclearedtodisableother

interrupts.

However,itmustbenotedthat,althoughtheMulti-functionInterruptflagswillbeautomatically

resetwhentheinterruptisserviced,therequestflagsfromtheoriginalsourceoftheMulti-function

interrupts,namelytheTMInterrupts,LVDinterrupt,EEPROMinterruptandTimeBaseinterrupt,

willnotbeautomaticallyresetandmustbemanuallyresetbytheapplicationprogram.

A/D Converter Interrupt

TheA/DConverterInterruptiscontrolledbytheterminationofanA/Dconversionprocess.AnA/D

ConverterInterruptrequestwilltakeplacewhentheA/DConverterInterruptrequestflag,ADF,is

set,whichoccurswhentheA/Dconversionprocessfinishes.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoits

respectiveinterruptvectoraddress,theglobalinterruptenablebit,EMI,andA/DInterruptenablebit,

ADE,mustfirstbeset.Whentheinterruptisenabled,thestackisnotfullandtheA/Dconversion

processhasended,asubroutinecalltotheA/DConverterInterruptvectorwilltakeplace.Whenthe

interruptisserviced,theA/DConverterInterruptflag,ADF,willbeautomaticallycleared.TheEMI

bitwillalsobeautomaticallyclearedtodisableotherinterrupts.
