The DDPAK/TO-263 TAB, and the PFM DAP, is used as a thermal connection to remove heat

from the device to an external heatsink. The TAB/DAP is internally connected to device pin 3,
and is electrical ground connection.
These devices have limited built-in ESD protection. The leads should be shorted together or the device placed in conductive foam
during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
