Auxiliary power supply
The proposed power supply can be successfully applied in an application requiring 15 V for
the power switch gate driver. This is a cost effective solution in terms of size and
performances.
It is based on the VIPER16LN in non-isolated buck configuration. The schematic is shown in
Figure 10
.
The auxiliary voltage is fixed considering the regulation point on the FB pin. An external
resistor divider is designed in order to set 3.3 V on the FB pin when output voltage is 15 V.
