The MA700 Series of reusable temperature probes is

ideally suited for the critical sensing parameters in

continuous monitoring of a patient’s body temperature.

The MA700 Series may be used with thermometers

and other instruments designed to accept a resistance

input of nominal 6K/30K Ω at 77°F (25°C). Unit to unit

accuracy is specified as ±.27°F (±0.15°C) over a range of

32°F to158°F (0°C to 70°C).

Repeatability and fast response are essential not

only for the intermittent temperature requirements

associated with oral and rectal temperature

measurements, but alsowith continuous monitoring

necessary during induced hypothermia and general

anesthesia, or when employed in the pediatric

environment, including the care of newborns and

premature babies. Intensive care and recovery rooms

have long used temperature as part oftheir vital sign

monitoring procedures. Temperature monitoring for

skin surface, tympanic, esophageal, and biofeedback

applications have improved due to the high stability

and tight tolerances designed into each MA700 Series

probe.

Phone jack: In each series the probe (thermistor) is connected to a 10 ft (3 M) long

cable with a two-conductor, 0.250 in (6.35 mm) diameter phone style plug. It is

also available in a straight-molded phone plug.
