267 / 298 page  265 µPD17062 20.7.1 Horizontal Start Position Setting Register If the horizontal start position setting register contains 0H, the horizontal start position is set 4.25 µs after the trailing edge of the horizontal sync signal. Each time the horizontal start position setting register is incremented by one, the horizontal start position shifts to the right by 250 ns; namely the following expression applies. Horizontal start position = 4.25 µs + 250 ns × (horizontal start position setting data) In Fig. 20-13, position A corresponds to the horizontal position setting data 0H. When the horizontal position setting data is changed to 1, the start position shifts to the right by 250 ns (one dot of the minimum-size character), that is position B. (The solid lines indicate the screen when the horizontal position data is 0, and the dotted lines, when the horizontal position data is 1.
