Register Description 5.1 General Remarks The entire communication with the device’s magnetometer part is performed by reading from and writing to registers. Registers have a width of 8 bits; they are mapped to a common space of 50 addresses from (0x40) up to (0x71). Within the used range there are several registers which are marked as ‘reserved’. Any reserved bit is ignored when it is written and no specific value is guaranteed when read. Especially, in SPI mode the SDO pin may stay in high-Z state when reading some of these registers. Registers with addresses from (0x40) up to (0x4A) are read-only.
