General Description
The G5999 is current mode DC/DC controller that
drives up to 12 strings connected in parallel configura-
tion with multiple LEDs in each string connected in se-
ries. External current sense resistor and slope com-
pensation resistor make it flexible for various applica-
tions. PWM dimming is implemented with external
PWM input signal or DC input signal. The dimming fre-
quency can be programmed by an external setting ca-
pacitor.
The G5999 includes hiccup protection from short cir-
cuits, with automatic recovery after the fault condition is
cleared.
The G5999 is available in a SOP-28 ,TSSOP-28 (FD) ,
and HSOP-28 package.
