Nozzle Cleaning

Immediately after use, clean both the inner and outer nozzles.

In preparation for spraying 3M™ Ultrapro™ MSP Sprayable Seam Sealer, always check both

nozzles to ensure that cured sealant is not blocking the nozzle orifice or within the nozzle tip.

Remove cured sealant blockage using a heavy-gauge wire, such as a clothes hanger.

Some indications that the nozzles are blocked (and the remedies for them) are:

Symptom: The sealant will not spray or caulk.

Solution:

a.

Wear eye protection

b.

Disconnect air supply

c.

Turn both the red and blue knobs to 1

d.

Point tip in a safe direction

e.

Squeeze trigger 2 or more times

f.

Insert stiff wire 2 inches into tip to unclog

g.

Turn both red and blue knobs back to 0 before reconnecting air

Symptom: The sealant sprays or caulks erratically.

Solution:

Remove both nozzles and check for cured sealant along the inside walls of the nozzle.

Remove the cured sealant using a heavy-gauge wire.

Paint Window

3M™ Ultrapro™ MSP Sprayable Seam Sealer provides excellent paint adhesion immediately

and for up to 24 hours after application. Scuffing the sealer with a Scotch-Brite™ Scuff Pad is

not necessary or recommended, especially for sprayed seams and coatings. 3M™ Ultrapro™

MSP Sprayable Seam Sealer may be painted immediately after applications for thicknesses up to

¼”. Most competitive products must be painted within the first few hours after application to

provide adequate paint adhesion.

Applications

Bead can be used for general purpose automotive seams, including door skins, rocker panels, rear
