Handling and Application Information

Directions for Use

For best results, apply over automotive primer. Applying over bare metal will not provide enough

corrosion protection. Acid etching primer is not recommended; if used, be sure to allow to fully cure

before applying seam sealer, or residual acid can weaken the bond.

If necessary after priming, clean and dry surface with 3M™ General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, PN

Punch out metal seal on base of cartridge and small metal seal in the opening of the caulk tube.

Attach nozzle to cartridge by screwing it on (nozzles should be provided with each tube of seam

Place cartridge into front end of Sprayable Seam Sealer Applicator Gun, PN 08400.

Add the exterior nozzle that is supplied with the gun and replace the retaining collar.

Set air pressure and gun per instructions provided with the gun. An additional set of instructions is

Apply seam sealer and tool (if necessary) to desired finished appearance.

The product is paintable immediately after application, up to 72 hours. After 72 hours, scuff the

After use, dispose of both the nozzle attached to the tube, and empty package. Do not dispose of

the exterior nozzle, it is part of the gun assembly.
