There is also a right half-plane zero (FRHPZ) that
exists in continuous conduction mode (CCM),
where IL does not drop to zero in each cycle.
FRHPZ can be calculated using Equation (12):

FRHPZ increases the gain and reduces the phase
simultaneously, resulting in a smaller phase
and gain margin. The worst-case condition
occurs when VIN is at its minimum and the
output power is at its maximum. See the Typical
Application Circuits section on page 23 for
compensation recommendations.
Design Example
Table 3 shows a design example following the
application guidelines for the specifications
below.

The maximum output current is determined by
the allowable temperature rise, ICL, and VIN.
