Single Pulse Output Mode

Toselectthismode,bitsTnM1andTnM0intheTMnC1registershouldbesetto10respectively

andalsotheTnIO1andTnIO0bitsshouldbesetto11respectively.TheSinglePulseOutputMode,

asthenamesuggests,willgenerateasingleshotpulseontheTMoutputpin.

ThetriggerforthepulseoutputleadingedgeisalowtohightransitionoftheTnONbit,which

canbeimplementedusingtheapplicationprogram.HoweverintheSinglePulseOutputMode,the

TnONbitcanalsobemadetoautomaticallychangefromlowtohighusingtheexternalTCKnpin,

whichwillinturninitiatetheSinglePulseoutput.WhentheTnONbittransitionstoahighlevel,the

counterwillstartrunningandthepulseleadingedgewillbegenerated.TheTnONbitshouldremain

highwhenthepulseisinitsactivestate.Thegeneratedpulsetrailingedgewillbegeneratedwhen

theTnONbitisclearedtozero,whichcanbeimplementedusingtheapplicationprogramorwhena

comparematchoccursfromComparatorA.

HoweveracomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsoautomaticallycleartheTnONbitand

thusgeneratetheSinglePulseoutputtrailingedge.InthiswaytheCCRAvaluecanbeusedto

controlthepulsewidth.AcomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsogenerateaTMinterrupt.

ThecountercanonlyberesetbacktozerowhentheTnONbitchangesfromlowtohighwhenthe

counterrestarts.IntheSinglePulseOutputModeCCRPisnotused.TheTnCCLRbitisnotusedin

thisMode.
