A/D Flash MCU with EEPROM
FAST Mode to SLOW Mode Switching
WhenrunningintheFASTMode,whichusesthehighspeedsystemoscillator,andtherefore
consumesmorepower,thesystemclockcanswitchtorunintheSLOWModebysettheHLCLKbit
to"0"andsettheCKS2~CKS0bitsto"000"or"001"intheSMODregister.Thiswillthenusethe
lowspeedsystemoscillatorwhichwillconsumelesspower.Usersmaydecidetodothisforcertain
operationswhichdonotrequirehighperformanceandcansubsequentlyreducepowerconsumption.
TheSLOWModeissourcedfromtheLXTorLIRCoscillatordeterminedbytheconfiguration
optionandthereforerequiresthisoscillatortobestablebeforefullmodeswitchingoccurs.Thisis
monitoredusingtheLTObitintheSMODregister.
