DM6588 Description

The DM6588 Modem Control Unit is designed for

use in high speed internal and external modem

applications. The DM6588 incorporates a 80C32

micro-controller, a virtual 16550A UART with FIFO

mode, and Plug & Play control logic.

The DM6588 MCU performs general modem control

functions, and is also designed to provide Plug and

Play capability for PCI bus systems.
