UART Interrupt
TheUARTinterruptiscontainedwithintheMulti-functionInterrupt.SeveralindividualUART
conditionscangenerateaUARTinterrupt.Whentheseconditionsexist,alowpulsewillbe
generatedtogettheattentionofthemicrocontroller.Theseconditionsareatransmitterdataregister
empty,transmitteridle,receiverdataavailable,receiveroverrun,addressdetectandanRXpin
wake-up.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtotherespectiveinterruptvectoraddresses,theglobal
interruptenablebit,EMI,multi-functionenablebit,MFnEandUARTinterruptenablebit,UIE,
mustfirstbeset.Whentheinterruptisenabled,thestackisnotfullandanyoftheseconditionsare
created,asubroutinecalltotherespectiveMulti-functionInterruptvector,willtakeplace.Whenthe
interruptisserviced,theEMIbitwillbeautomaticallyclearedtodisableotherinterrupts,theMulti-
functioninterruptrequestflagwillbealsoautomaticallycleared.However,theUSRregisterflags
willbeclearedautomaticallywhencertainactionsaretakenbytheUART,thedetailsofwhichare
givenintheUARTsection.
EEPROM Interrupt
TheEEPROMinterruptiscontainedwithintheMulti-functionInterrupt.AnEEPROMInterrupt
requestwilltakeplacewhentheEEPROMInterruptrequestflag,DEF,isset,whichoccurs
whenanEEPROMWritecycleends.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoitsrespectiveinterrupt
vectoraddress,theglobalinterruptenablebit,EMI,andEEPROMInterruptenablebit,DEE,and
associatedMulti-functioninterruptenablebit,mustfirstbeset.Whentheinterruptisenabled,the
stackisnotfullandanEEPROMWritecycleends,asubroutinecalltotherespectiveEEPROM
Interruptvectorwilltakeplace.WhentheEEPROMInterruptisserviced,theEMIbitwillbe
automaticallyclearedtodisableotherinterrupts,howeveronlytheMulti-functioninterruptrequest
flagwillbealsoautomaticallycleared.AstheDEFflagwillnotbeautomaticallycleared,ithastobe
clearedbytheapplicationprogram.
LVD Interrupt
TheLowVoltageDetectorInterruptiscontainedwithintheMulti-functionInterrupt.AnLVD
InterruptrequestwilltakeplacewhentheLVDInterruptrequestflag,LVF,isset,whichoccurs
whentheLowVoltageDetectorfunctiondetectsalowpowersupplyvoltage.Toallowtheprogram
tobranchtoitsrespectiveinterruptvectoraddress,theglobalinterruptenablebit,EMI,LowVoltage
Interruptenablebit,LVE,andassociatedMulti-functioninterruptenablebit,mustfirstbeset.When
theinterruptisenabled,thestackisnotfullandalowvoltageconditionoccurs,asubroutinecallto
theMulti-functionInterruptvector,willtakeplace.WhentheLowVoltageInterruptisserviced,the
EMIbitwillbeautomaticallyclearedtodisableotherinterrupts,howeveronlytheMulti-function
interruptrequestflagwillbealsoautomaticallycleared.AstheLVFflagwillnotbeautomatically
cleared,ithastobeclearedbytheapplicationprogram.
TM Interrupts
TheCompactandPeriodicTypeTMshavetwointerrupts.AlloftheTMinterruptsarecontained
withintheMulti-functionInterrupts.ForeachoftheCompactandPeriodicTypeTMstherearetwo
interruptrequestflagsTnPFandTnAFandtwoenablebitsTnPEandTnAE.ATMinterruptrequest
willtakeplacewhenanyoftheTMrequestflagsareset,asituationwhichoccurswhenaTM
comparatorPorAmatchsituationhappens.
Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoitsrespectiveinterruptvectoraddress,theglobalinterruptenable
bit,EMI,respectiveTMInterruptenablebit,andrelevantMulti-functionInterruptenablebit,MFnE,
mustfirstbeset.Whentheinterruptisenabled,thestackisnotfullandaTMcomparatormatch
situationoccurs,asubroutinecalltotherelevantMulti-functionInterruptvectorlocations,willtake
place.WhentheTMinterruptisserviced,theEMIbitwillbeautomaticallyclearedtodisableother
interrupts,howeveronlytherelatedMFnFflagwillbeautomaticallycleared.AstheTMinterrupt
requestflagswillnotbeautomaticallycleared,theyhavetobeclearedbytheapplicationprogram.
