These are stress ratings only, and functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those indicated under "recommended operating conditions" is not implied. Exposure to absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability. (2) All voltage values are with respect to VSS. TI highly recommends that users design-in a supply that can handle multiple voltages within this range (i.e., 1.2 V, 1.25 V, 1.3 V, 1.35 V, 1.4 V with ± 3% tolerances) by implementing simple board changes such as reference resistor values or input pin configuration modifications. Examples of such supplies include the PT4660, PT5500, PT5520, PT6440, and PT6930 series from Power Trends, a subsidiary of Texas Instruments. Not incorporating a flexible supply may limit the system's ability to easily adapt to future versions of C64x devices.
