Input current harmonics measurement
One of the main purposes of a PFC preconditioner is the correction of input current
distortion, decreasing the harmonic contents below the limits of the relevant regulations.
Therefore, this demonstration board has been tested according to the European norm
EN61000-3-2 Class-C and Japanese norm JEITA_MITI Class-C both relevant to lighting
equipment, at full load and nominal input voltage mains. The measurements are shown in
Figure 5 and Figure 6.
For user reference, waveforms of the input current and voltage at nominal input voltage
mains during full-load operation are shown in Figure 5 and Figure 6. Figure 7 and Figure 8
give the input current and voltage at nominal input voltage mains 50% load, showing that in
spite of the wide input voltage range, the current waveform shape is still good.
