General Description

ThisseriesofdevicesareMCUbasedwaveformgeneratorsespeciallydesignedforproductswhich

requirecustomsoundeffectgeneration.TheinternalmicrocontrollersareFlashMemory8-bit

highperformanceRISCarchitecturetype.OfferinguserstheconvenienceofFlashMemorymulti-

programmingfeatures,thedevicesalsoincludesawiderangeofadditionalfunctionsandfeaturesto

assistwiththeircustomaudiogeneration.OthermemoryincludesanareaofRAMDataMemory.

AnextremelyflexibleTimerModuleprovidestiming,pulsegeneration,captureinput,compare

matchoutputandPWMgenerationfunctions.ProtectivefeaturessuchasaninternalWatchdog

TimercoupledwithexcellentnoiseimmunityandESDprotectionensurethatreliableoperationis

maintainedinhostileelectricalenvironments.

Afullchoiceofinternalhighspeedandlowspeedoscillatorfunctionsareprovidedwhichrequire

noexternalcomponentsfortheirimplementation.Theabilitytooperateandswitchdynamically

betweenarangeofoperatingmodesusingdifferentclocksourcesgivesuserstheabilitytooptimise

microcontrolleroperationandminimisepowerconsumption.Additionally,aninternal5.0Vshunt

regulatorisintegratedwithintheHT45F2020deviceofferingvoltageregulationfeaturesforawide

rangeofinputoperatingvoltages.

WhenusedalongsideHoltek’ssoftwaredevelopmentplatform,designersareprovidedwiththesuite

oftoolstoenabletheeasygenerationandmixingofaudiofrequenciesforthecreationofcustom

soundeffects.TheinclusionofflexibleI/Oprogrammingfeatures,Time-Basefunctionalongwith

manyotherfeaturesensurethatthedevicewillfindexcellentuseinapplicationssuchascars,

motorcyclesandelectronicvehiclessecurityalarmapplicationsaswellasmanyothersetc.
