Operating the AS5013

Typical Application

The AS5013 requires only a few external components in order

to operate immediately when connected to the host

microcontroller.

Only 4 wires are needed for a simple application using a single

power supply: two wires for power and two wires for the I²C

communication. A fifth connection can be added in order to

send an interrupt to the host CPU when the magnet is moving

away from the center and to inform that a new valid coordinate

can be read.
