The AMC3311 provides a fail-safe output that simplifies diagnostics on a system level. The fail-safe output

is active when the integrated DC/DC converter or high-side LDO do not deliver the required supply voltage

for the high-side of the device. Figure 7-3 and Figure 7-4 show the fail-safe output of the AMC3311, which

is a negative differential output voltage value that does not occur under normal operating conditions. Use the

maximum VFAILSAFE voltage specified in the Electrical Characteristics table as a reference value for the fail-safe

detection on a system level.
