60 / 61 page ![]() 56 PRELIMINARY 80960JD 6.0 DEVICE IDENTIFICATION 80960JD processors may be identified electrically according to device type and stepping (see Table 23). The 32-bit identifier is accessible in three ways: • Upon reset, the identifier is placed into the g0 register. • The identifier may be accessed from supervisor mode at any time by reading the DEVICEID register at address FF008710H. • The IEEE Standard 1149.1 Test Access Port may select the DEVICE ID register through the IDCODE instruction. The device and stepping letter is also printed on the top side of the product package. NOTE: This data sheet applies to the 80960JD A and 80960JD A2 steppings. 7.0 REVISION HISTORY This data sheet supersedes revision 272596-001. Table 24 indicates significant changes since the previous revision.
