(4) Explanation of the machine cycle field S indicates the number of machine cycles required for a skip instruction to perform skipping. The following shows the values of S. • When the next instruction is not skipped, S is 0. • When the next instruction is skipped, S is 1. A machine cycle is equal to one cycle (= tCY) of CPU clock Φ. A PCC setting determines the machine cycle. It can be set to one of three different periods.
