AdditionalfeatureswiththeSP508Eincludeinternalloopbackthatcanbeinitiatedinany oftheoperatingmodesbyuseoftheLOOPBACKpin.Whileinloopbackmode,receiver outputsareinternallyconnectedtodriverinputscreatinganinternalsignalpathbypassing theserialcommunicationscontrollerfordiagnostictesting.TheSP508Ealsoincludesalatch enablepinwiththedriverandreceiveraddressdecoder.TheinternalV.orV.35receiver terminationcanbeswitchedoffusingacontrolpin(TERM_OFF)formonitoringapplications.
