ThereareseveralconfigurationoptionsassociatedwiththeSPIinterface.Oneoftheseistoenablethe SIMfunctionwhichselectstheSIMpinsratherthannormalI/Opins.Notethatiftheconfiguration optiondoesnotselecttheSIMfunctionthentheSIMENbitintheSIMC0registerwillhavenoeffect. AnothertwoSPIconfigurationoptionsdetermineiftheCSENandWCOLbitsaretobeused. SPI Registers TherearethreeinternalregisterswhichcontroltheoveralloperationoftheSPIinterface.Theseare theSIMDdataregisterandtworegistersSIMC0andSIMC2.NotethattheSIMC1registerisonly usedbytheI2Cinterface.
