203 / 231 page  Rev. 1.60 �0� �ove��e� ��� �01� Rev. 1.60 �03 �ove��e� ��� �01� HT45F65/HT45F66/HT45F67 Glucose Meter 8-Bit Flash MCU Low Voltage Detector – LVD EachdevicehasaLowVoltageDetectorfunction,alsoknownasLVD.Thisenabledthedeviceto monitorthepowersupplyvoltage,VDD,andprovideawarningsignalshoulditfallbelowacertain level.Thisfunctionmaybeespeciallyusefulinbatteryapplicationswherethesupplyvoltagewill graduallyreduceasthebatteryages,asitallowsanearlywarningbatterylowsignaltobegenerated. TheLowVoltageDetectoralsohasthecapabilityofgeneratinganinterruptsignal. LVD Register TheLowVoltageDetectorfunctioniscontrolledusingasingleregisterwiththenameLVDC.Three bitsinthisregister,VLVD2~VLVD0,areusedtoselectoneofeightfixedvoltagesbelowwhicha lowvoltageconditionwillbedetermined.AlowvoltageconditionisindicatedwhentheLVDObitis set.IftheLVDObitislow,thisindicatesthattheVDDvoltageisabovethepresetlowvoltagevalue. TheLVDENbitisusedtocontroltheoverallon/offfunctionofthelowvoltagedetector.Settingthe bithighwillenablethelowvoltagedetector.Clearingthebittozerowillswitchofftheinternallow voltagedetectorcircuits.Asthelowvoltagedetectorwillconsumeacertainamountofpower,itmay bedesirabletoswitchoffthecircuitwhennotinuse,animportantconsiderationinpowersensitive batterypoweredapplications.
