EachoftheTMs,irrespectiveofwhattype,hastwoTMinputpins,withthelabelxTCKandxTPI

respectively.TheTMinputpinxTCK,isessentiallyaclocksourcefortheTMandisselectedusing

thexTCK2~xTCK0bitsinthexTMC0register.ThisexternalTMinputpinallowsanexternalclock

sourcetodrivetheinternalTM.ThisexternalTMinputpinissharedwithotherfunctionsbutwill

beconnectedtotheinternalTMifselectedusingthexTCK2~xTCK0bits.TheTMinputpincan

bechosentohaveeitherarisingorfallingactiveedge.ThePTCKpinisalsousedastheexternal

triggerinputpininthesinglepulseoutputmodeforthePTM.

TheotherxTMinputpin,xTPI,isthecaptureinputwhoseactiveedgecanbearisingedge,a

fallingedgeorbothrisingandfallingedgesandtheactiveedgetransitiontypeisselectedusingthe

xTIO1~xTIO0bitsinthexTMC1register.Thereisanothercaptureinput,PTCK,forPTMcapture

inputmode,whichcanbeusedastheexternaltriggerinputsourceexceptthePTPIpin.

EachTMhasoneoutputpinwiththelabelxTP.WhentheTMisintheCompareMatchOutput

Mode,thexTPpincanbeusedasoutputpinandcontrolledbytheTMtoswitchtoahighorlow

levelortotogglewhenacomparematchsituationoccurs.TheexternalxTPpinisalsotheoutputpin

wheretheTMgeneratesthePWMoutputwaveform.

AstheTMinputandoutputpinsarepin-sharedwithotherfunctions,theTMinputandoutput

functionsmustfirstbesetupusingtherelevantpin-sharedfunctionselectionbitsdescribedinthe

Pin-sharedFunctionsection.
