The device contains an on-chip regulator and can operate across
a wide VCC range. For devices that must operate from an unregu-
lated power supply, transient protection must be added externally.
For applications using a regulated line, EMI/RF i protection may
still be required. Contact Allegro for information on the circuitry
required for compliance with various EMC specif ications. Refer
to Figure 7 for an example of a basic application circuit. Sense
resistor minimum value is determined by the desired signal-to-
noise ratio of the current interface, while its maximum value is
determined by the supply voltage and the voltage drop across said
resistor (headroom).
