Thermal Management
PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layout directly effects the junc-
tion to ambient thermal resistance (θ
JA). Layout perfor-
mance may place limits on the SC662 performance. The
SC662 is capable of 150mA of total output current in an
ambient temperature of up to 85°C. Both of these param-
eters, maximum output current (I
OUT(MAX) ), and maximum
ambient temperature (T
A), may be reduced if the layout
does not provide for adequate heat dissipation. Layout
guidelines are recommended in the next section, PCB
Layout Considerations.
