However,itshouldbenotedthatthisspecifiedinternalclockperiodcanvarywithVDD,temperature andprocessvariations.TheLXToscillatorissuppliedbyanexternal32.768kHzcrystal.Theother WatchdogTimerclocksourceoptionisthefSYS/4clock.TheWatchdogTimerclocksourcecan originatefromitsowninternalLIRCoscillator,theLXToscillatororfSYS/4.Itisdividedbyavalue of28to215,usingtheWS2~WS0bitsintheWDTCregistertoobtaintherequiredWatchdogTimer time-outperiod. Watchdog Timer Control Register Asingleregister,WDTC,controlstherequiredtimeoutperiodaswellastheenable/disable operation.Thisregistertogetherwithseveralconfigurationoptionscontroltheoveralloperationof theWatchdogTimer.
