Decoder

The decoder performs the 5B/4B decoding of the re-

ceived code-groups. The five bits of data are decoded

into four bits of nibble data. The decoded nibble is then

forwarded to the PCS Control block to be sent across

the internal MII to the MAC unit. The code-group de-

coding is shown in Table 9.
