Description

The DM50x processor is a highly optimized and scalable family of devices for Vision Analytics and

Machine Vision processing in Industrial products. The family enables sophisticated embedded vision

processing by integrating an optimal mix of real time performance, low power, small form factor and

camera processing for systems to interact in new, more intelligent and useful ways with the physical world

and the people in it.

The DM50x processors incorporates a heterogeneous, scalable architecture that includes up to two of TI’s

fixed plus floating-point TMS320C66x digital signal processor (DSP) generation cores, Vision

AccelerationPac (EVE), and dual-Cortex-M4 processors. The device allows low power profile in different

package options (including Package-On-Package) to enable small form factor designs. The DM50x also

integrates a host of peripherals including multi-camera interfaces (both parallel and serial) for LVDS-based

surround view systems, displays and GigB Ethernet AVB.

Additionally, TI provides a complete set of development tools for the ARM, and DSP, including C

compilers with TI RTOS and Application framework to accelerate time to market.
