AR0260: 1/6-Inch 1080P High-Definition (HD) Digital Image Sensor
Functional Description
analog signal chain (providing offset correction and gain), and then through an analog-
to-digital converter (ADC). The output from the ADC is a 10-bit value for each pixel in
the array. The ADC output passes through a digital processing signal chain (which
provides further data path corrections and applies digital gain). Finally, the output from
the digital processing chain is passed either to the parallel or serial (MIPI) data port for
transmission to the host system. The AR0260 also includes programmable I/O slew rate
to minimize EMI.
System Interfaces
Figure 2 on page 8 shows typical AR0260 device connections. For low-noise operation,
the AR0260 requires separate power supplies for analog and digital sections of the die.
Both power supply rails must be decoupled from ground using capacitors as close as
possible to the die. The use of inductance filters is not recommended on the power
supplies or output signals.
The AR0260 provides dedicated inputs for digital core, PHY, and I/O power domains that
can be at different voltages. The PLL and analog circuitry require clean power sources.
Table 3 on page 9 provides the signal descriptions for the AR0260.
