62 / 162 page ![]() Page 50 ADU2 Operation and Reference Manual Baseline to be processed (0 for all bl’s) There are three baselines for which the calibration program tries to solve the double difference phase ambiguities, thus providing accurate relative position vectors. Antennas 1 and 2 form baseline 1, 1 and 3 form baseline 2, and 1 and 4 form baseline 3. By default (0), you usually want to process all the baselines to determine all three relative antenna position vectors. In the case where only one baseline needs to be determined, specify the appropriate baseline number. Ambiguity search region Range of integer ambiguities (positive and negative) that the search routine searches around an initial ambiguity estimate to find the correct set of ambiguities. This initial ambiguity estimate is provided by a Kalman filter. The program can handle a maximum search range of ± 9. User-defined good period in secs Shortest period required in which five satellites must be tracked continuously. The B-file must have at least this many seconds of uninterrupted satellite measurement data in order to fix the ambiguities successfully, that is, no cycle-slips. Initial testing shows that this number should be an absolute minimum of 900.0 seconds. The default good period is 0.5 hour (1800.0 seconds). Minimum covariance to fix ambiguities The minimum covariance is used only in Option C of the calibration program. Altering the covariance from the default value requires some experience with the collected data and the Kalman filter used in the program. Minimum contrast to fix ambiguities The minimum contrast is used only in Option C of the calibration program. Altering the contrast from the default value requires some experience with the collected data and the Kalman filter used in the program. Minimum contrast to modify estimate Contrast is used only in Option C of the calibration program. Altering the contrast from the default value requires some experience with the collected data and the Kalman filter used in the program. Process noise for the state vectors Part of the system noise and measurement noise description for the Kalman filter. The default values for these have been chosen based on experience with the data collected by the ADU2 receiver.
