8.3.7 ADC

The TPS25751A ADC is shown in Figure 8-23. The ADC is an 8-bit successive approximation ADC. The input to

the ADC is an analog input mux that supports multiple inputs from various voltages and currents in the device.

The output from the ADC is available to be read and used by application firmware.

8.3.8 Liquid Detection

The TPS25751A features liquid detection and corrosion mitigation through monitoring the voltage on pins from

the connector. The device monitors pins periodically checking for variations on the pin voltage indicating a short.

When configured for corrosion mitigation, the PD controller disconnects from the far end device and monitors for

voltage readings indicating the liquid is no longer present.
