In this table the Offset column gives the offset with re- spect to the value stored in the read-only MIB Offset register, which is located at offset 28h in the memory address space allocated to the Am79C976 device. This counter is incremented only once per valid carrier event (once per frame), and if a collision is present, this counter must not be incremented.
