controller recognizes this condition as an error. If there

is an overload at the outputs, the iC-DL itself—via its

temperature protection feature—makes sure that the

driver outputs are shut down (tristate). The controller

also recognizes this as an error. In addition, iC-PI can

record the overload condition in its error memory as a

system error when using the bidirectional I/O pin ERR

(as shown).
