13.3
Descriptions of the VSP instruction set
13.3.1
CONVENTIONS
In the descriptions of the VSP instruction set:
• A = the 30-bit accumulator
• I = the 6-bit index register
• r.a. = a 6-bit register address
• p.n. = a 3-bit port number (address)
• coeff = a 12-bit coefficient
• f.l. = a 3-bit flag descriptor
• addr = a 9-bit address
• stack = a one entry deep return address stack
• PC = a 9-bit program counter
• o.a. = the 9-bit old address
• s.i. = small integer
• X = don’t care during a read/or write access.
13.3.2
LDA INSTRUCTION
The LDA (Load accumulator) instruction is used to load data into the VSP’s accumulator. Flags affected are
EQ0 and EQ1.

13.3.3
STO INSTRUCTION
The STO (Store accumulator) instruction is used to store data into register RAM or output ports. No flags are affected.
