124 / 549 page  Section 6 ROM Rev. 6.00 Sep 12, 2006 page 104 of 526 REJ09B0326-0600 6.2 PROM Mode 6.2.1 Setting to PROM Mode If the on-chip ROM is PROM, setting the chip to PROM mode stops operation as a microcontroller and allows the PROM to be programmed in the same way as the standard HN27C256 EPROM. Table 6.1 shows how to set the chip to PROM mode.
