RMBE[7:0]:
RMBE[7:0] represents the number of times the LASAR-155 ran out of Receive
Management Descriptors (i.e. management buffers) since the last time the
counter was polled. When the LASAR-155 runs out of descriptors, it back
pressures to the line.
RPBE[7:0]:
RPBE[7:0] represents the number of times the LASAR-155 ran out of Receive
Packet Descriptors (i.e. packet buffers) since the last time the counter was polled.
When the LASAR-155 runs out of descriptors, it back pressures to the line.
These counters are polled by writing to the LASAR-155 Master Reset /
Load Meters register. Such a write transfers the internally accumulated error
count to the above register within 1µs and simultaneously resets the internal
counter to begin a new cycle of error accumulation. This transfer and reset is
carried out in a manner that ensures that coincident events are not lost.
