14. Serial Interface

Serial Interface is configured with one channels: UART0. UART0 has an exclusive timer to generate a

transfer clock.

Figure 14.1 shows a UART0 Block Diagram. Figure 14.2 shows a UART0 Transmit/Receive Unit.

UART0 has two modes: clock synchronous serial I/O mode, and clock asynchronous serial I/O mode (UART

mode).

Figure 14.3 to 14.5 show the UART0-associated registers.
