Compact TM Operation

Atitscoreisa10-bitcount-upcounterwhichisdrivenbyauserselectableinternalorexternalclock

source.Therearealsotwointernalcomparatorswiththenames,ComparatorAandComparatorP.

ThesecomparatorswillcomparethevalueinthecounterwithCCRPandCCRAregisters.TheCCRP

isthreebitswidewhosevalueiscomparedwiththehighestthreebitsinthecounterwhiletheCCRA

isthetenbitsandthereforecompareswithallcounterbits.Theonlywayofchangingthevalueofthe

10-bitcounterusingtheapplicationprogram,istoclearthecounterbychangingtheTnONbitfrom

lowtohigh.Thecounterwillalsobeclearedautomaticallybyacounteroverfloworacomparematch

withoneofitsassociatedcomparators.Whentheseconditionsoccur,aTMinterruptsignalwillalso

usuallybegenerated.TheCompactTypeTMcanoperateinanumberofdifferentoperationalmodes,

canbedrivenbydifferentclocksourcesincludinganinputpinandcanalsocontrolanoutputpin.All

operatingsetupconditionsareselectedusingrelevantinternalregisters.
