Auto-Envelope Process Unit
TheAuto-EnvelopProcess(AEP)unitisusedtoprocess,transformandcomparetheinputsignal
datawiththeselectedcomparevalue.TheAEPunitiscomprisedofaComparator,Rectifier,
Accumulator,Divider,ComparatorandFIFOs.TheComparatorinputsignalcanbeselectedby
theSUMSELbitintheAVPCTRLregister.Theusercanselectthecomparingreferencelevelto
generateaninterrupt.TheinputADCconverteddatawillberectified,accumulatedandthendivided.
TheComparatorValue,fromtheSUMCPregisterortheinternal10-levelFIFOdata,canbeselected
bytheAEVMODbitintheAVPCTRLregister.ThereareseveralComparatorinterruptconditions,
managedbytheCMOUT,ENVDGE1andENVDGE0bitsintheAVPOCTRLregister.Whenthe
ComparatorinputdataandtheComparatorvaluematchesaninterruptwillbegenerated.TheAEP
unitisimplementedbyhardwaretoimplementdigitalsignalprocessing.Itprovidesanaccurate
andafastmethodtoobtaintheweightoftheinputsignalforthedesignertoanalyseandjudge.The
followingblockdiagramillustratesthemainfunctionalblocksintheAEPunitinthesedevices.
