RESET:
The RESET bit allows the LASAR-155 to be reset under software control. If the
RESET bit is a logic one, the entire LASAR-155 except the PCI Interface is held
in reset. This bit is not self-clearing. Therefore, a logic zero must be written to
bring the LASAR-155 out of reset. Holding the LASAR-155 in a reset state
places it into a low power, stand-by mode. A hardware reset clears the RESET
bit, thus negating the software reset.
Note, unlike the hardware reset input, RSTB, the software reset bit,
RESET does not force the LASAR-155's digital output pins tri-state. In addition,
all register except the PCI Configuration registers are reset to their default
values. The PCI Configuration register values are preserved. Note, for proper
operation after a soft reset, the TRMEN bit in the PCID Control register must be
cleared before software reset is released.
