VCC

Input

Power source: Connects to a power

supply pins

supply (+5 V)

All VCC pins should be connected to the

system power supply (+5 V).

VSS

Input

Ground: Connects to a power supply

(0 V).

All VSS pins should be connected to the

system power supply (0 V).

AVCC

Input

Analog power supply: This is the

reference power supply pin for the A/D

converter. When the A/D converter is not

used, connect this pin to the system

power supply (+5 V).

AVSS

Input

Analog ground: This is the A/D

converter ground pin.

It should be connected to the system

power supply (0 V).

Vdisp

Input

VFD power supply: This pin should be

connected to a VFD driver power supply.

Clock pins

OSC1

Input

This pin connects to a crystal or ceramic

oscillator, or can be used to input an

external clock.

See section 6, Clock Pulse Generators,

for a typical connection diagram.

OSC2

Output This pin connects to a crystal or ceramic

oscillator.

Input

This pin connects to a 32.768 kHz crystal

oscillator.

Output This pin connects to a 32.768 kHz crystal

oscillator.
