99 / 324 page  4.2 PROM Mode 4.2.1 Selection of PROM Mode If the on-chip ROM is a PROM, setting the chip to PROM mode stops operation as a microcontroller and allows the PROM to be programmed in the same way as the HN27C256H. Table 4-1 shows how to select PROM mode. A socket adapter is required for conversion to 28 pins, as listed in table 4-2. Figure 4-2 shows the pin-to-pin wiring of the socket adapter. Figure 4-3 shows a memory map.
